Infatuation

I’m lost for words when I speak to you.
Giddy like a school girl when I see you.
Sent soaring when you touch me
and left breathless when you kiss me.
Is this real or am I a victim of infatuation?

Your words speak to me like an unchained melody,
a cool summer breeze on a summer day.
Or shall I say like a cold winters night
wrapped up in your warm embrace where I find safety,
solitude, serenity, and sense of self.
Is this real or am I a victim of infatuation?

My mind is consumed with never-ending thoughts
and visions of you.
When I rise in the am and lay my head in the pm
you remain a permanent fixture that needs no disturbing.
My dreams are fancied after fairy tales and happily ever after with you
that I intend to manifest into reality.
If this truly is infatuation,
I throw up my hands and surrender.
